Join us for an introduction to hadith terminology from the work Nukhbat al-Fikar by Ibn Hajar al-‘Asqalani. Topics include an overview of the historical development of hadith, the methodologies of hadith scholars, and the relationship between hadith and usul al-fiqh. Students will gain an appreciation for the preservation of the Sunnah, learn responses to those who attack the reliability of hadith, and understand the practical implications of grading a hadith.
