Our affiliate institutions offer high quality programs in the Islamic sciences. Any courses taken at one of these institutions will be credited at Saladin Islamic Seminary.

Fayda Institute


Students of Fayda Institute must complete the following courses from the Undergraduate Program to receive credit for a Bachelor’s degree at Saladin Islamic Seminary:

– Aqidah 05A Parts 1 & 2: Kifayatul Waseelah
– Fiqh 04A Parts 1 & 2: Mukhtasar Khalil
– Arabic 04A: Alfiyyah ibn Malik
– Arabic 04B: Laamiyatul al-Af’aal

The following courses must be completed at Saladin Islamic Seminary:

– Advanced Theology I, II, & III: Sharh al-Tawali’
– Contemporary Issues Workshop
– Legal Precepts: Idah al-Qawa’id al-Fiqhiyya
– Protocols of Issuing Fatwas: portion of Intro to al-Majmu’, portions of al-Ihkam by al-Qarafi
– Legal Hadiths I & II: Bulugh al-Maram
– Intro to Sciences of Hadith: Ikhtisar ‘Ulum al-Hadith
– Intermediate Sciences of Hadith: Sharh Nukhbat al-Fikar
– Advanced Sciences of Hadith I & II: Tadrib al-Rawi
– Tracing Hadith Chains (Takhrij): Kitab al-‘Ilal by al-Tirmidhi, practical application
– Qur’anic Exegesis I & II: portions of al-Baydawi
– Intro to Legal Theory: Sharh al-Waraqat
– Intermediate Legal Theory I & II: Minhaj al-Wusul
– Advanced Legal Theory I, II, III, & IV: Ghayat al-Wusul
– Logic I & II: Idah al-Mubham and Sharh al-Shamsiyyah

Students of the Graduate Program at Fayda Institute may receive credit for a Master’s degree at Saladin Islamic Seminary with the following courses:

– Fiqh 05A & 05B: Review of Mukhtasar Khalil
– Usul al-Fiqh 07A & 07B: Maraaqi as-Su’uud
– Readings in Muwatta
– Arabic 06A & 06B: versification of Mughni Labib
– Arabic 07A & 07B: Maqsur wal Mamdud
